The LA Weekly calls The Fishtank Ensemble "cross pollinated gypsy music....one of the most thrilling young acts on the planet." Formed in 2005 and playing everywhere from the hippest LA clubs to festivals and cultural centers, the band includes two explosive violins, the world's best slap bass player, musical saw, flamenco and gypsy jazz guitar, trombone, opera, jazz and gypsy vocals, accordion and one little banjolele.
Their performance at the Arboretum at Flagstaff during Summer 2009 mesmerized our local audience. However, due to rain, fewer people were fortunate enough to experience this truly unique and fun musical act. So, we've brought The Fishtank Ensemble back to Flagstaff in the intimate setting of the Coconino Center for the Arts.
