One Man's Trash is Our Artists' Treasure

The 10th Annual Recycled Art Exhibition at the Coconino Center for the Arts features art that is made from recycled materials. Artists from all over Coconino County come together to promote recycling through this creative, fun and inspiring exhibition. It's one of Flagstaff's favorite exhibitions each year!

Across the Divide

Across the Divide will encompass the vast array of contemporary ceramics in the sculptural and installation genres. This exhibit uses the Continental Divide as a metaphor for the artist working in clay that has separated them from traditional techniques and stereotypes within the medium. Artists are encouraged to submit work that pushes traditional boundaries of the ceramic medium in its treatment of material and subject.

Beyond the Border:
the Wall, the People and the Land
(Más Allá de la Frontera: el muro, la gente y la tierra)

Beyond the Border addresses the human and environmental impact of issues that surround the US / Mexico border, the border wall and border policies.

Artists are encouraged to submit art that explores this impact and how changing policy is affecting the environment and/or people. The intent of this exhibition is not to advocate for or against any position, policy or political figure; rather, Beyond the Border offers an opportunity for stories to be shared and questions to be raised that allow viewers to explore the consequences of intensified focus on this region.
