Jessica Fichot

Saturday, July 3, 2010
5:30 P.M.
The Arboretum at Flagstaff

L.A.-based chanteuse, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jessica Fichot is a lot like her hometown of Paris: French at heart, but with a soul that's truly international. Drawing from her multi-ethnic French / Chinese / American upbringing, her music fuses styles and languages, taking the listener on a twisting journey out of the French chanson tradition, into the lands of gypsy jazz, Chinese and Latin American folk music, and into the wilderness of her imagination.

Tickets will be available at the door. $12/members, $15/public.

Flamenco Ensemble

5:30 P.M.
The Arboretum at Flagstaff

For Arizona-born guitarist Chris Burton Jacomé it’s all about flamenco, a style in favor of which he cast aside the rock and roll aspirations of his youth. While living in Sevilla, Spain, Chris studied flamenco guitar with some of the greatest flamenco performers of this era including: Miguel Aragón, Manolo Franco, Ethan Margolis, Juan del Gastor, Juan Amador, Juana Amaya, Enrique Robles, Segundo Falcón and Cristo "El Francés." Since Chris’ return from Spain, he has been performing over 200 shows a year and has played many sold-out performances throughout the US and Canada.

Chris’ music can be heard scoring the Emmy Award Winning PBS television special: “Flamenco” (broadcast in Arizona by KAET-TV Channel 8: Mike Sauceda, producer), and on many popular tv shows.

Traveler

Saturday, September 4, 2010
5:30 P.M.
The Arboretum at Flagstaff

TRAVELER is a multi-cultural musical experience fusing Gypsy, Middle Eastern, Celtic, Greek and Turkish styles with Rock. Traveler's sound is an innovative, new fusion of World Music and Rock. Using traditional ethnic instruments, their performances are intense, exotic and adrenaline-driven.

The real magic of a Traveler show is in the connection they make with the audience. They give a high energy, passionate performance that draws the audience in, perhaps by the combination of the cultural connection people have to the ethnic sounds of their own heritage and this music that is so unique. For whatever reason, people are always moved to their feet, and drawn closer to the stage to be part of the experience.
