Ancestral Voices of the Canyon
A Multi-Media Concert Event
Saturday, June 9, 2012
Doors 7pm / Show 8pm

Fresh off their two-week artistic exploration of the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon, percussionist-poet Will Clipman (pictured), musician-storyteller Leon Littlebird, photographer-videographer Charly Heavenrich, and dancer-choreographer Jayne Lee will bring a multi-media synthesis of their collective experiences to the Coconino Center for the Arts on Saturday June 9th at 8 PM.
Riding currents of improvisation inspired by the awesome natural beauty of the Canyon and resonating deeply with the ancestral voices of its indigenous human culture, these four world-renowned artists promise an evening of spontaneous creativity that will delight the senses and uplift the spirit as unpredictably as the River itself. The performance will include visual projections, interpretive movement, spoken word, and plenty of live music, featuring Native American Flutes and Taos Drums. The journey is the destination on this voyage of imagination, so bring your sense of adventure and your spirit of wonder, and expect the unexpected!
