Our Mission
The mission of Flagstaff Cultural Partners is to enhance the spectrum and quality of cultural experiences available to residents of and visitors to our community.
*Inspiring excellence through strong partnerships for the Arts*
The Coconino Center for the Arts
FCP manages the Coconino Center for the Arts, the cultural hub of the Flagstaff community. The 4,000 sq. ft. gallery features diverse exhibitions, and the intimate 200-seat theater offers concerts, performances, films and other presentations. See the sidebar to the left for current events, and be sure to check the Calendar of events for a detailed listing of all events at the Coconino Center for the Arts.
Support FCP and the Center here.
In partnership with several local cultural organizations, the Center hosts concerts, art markets, festivals, fund raisers, workshops and other activities. Popular annual programs include the Recycled Art Exhibition (April), the Flagstaff Folk Music Festival (mid-June), and the It's Elemental craft exhibition (December). The Center also highlights youth performances from local schools and through the Youth Celebrate Art & Culture exhibition (March).
Rent the Center! The Center can be rented for private or community events including receptions, meetings,
weddings, or shows. For more information, visit our rentals page.
Art & Science Grant Fund
FCP also serves as the regranting organization for the City of Flagstaff Art and Science Fund. These City BBB tax funds support community arts, science and cultural programs throughout the Flagstaff area. The City's wise investment and support in the arts is part of what makes Flagstaff so special as a place to live, to visit, and to love. Learn about the grant program here.
Local Arts Initiatives & Partnerships
FCP promotes and coordinates Flagstaff's popular monthly First Friday ArtWalk. Dozens of galleries and businesses in Downtown Flagstaff open their doors, feature entertainment and refreshments, and turn a Friday night into a mini-street-party! Check out this month's First Friday ArtWalk map online.
Each year in March, FCP hosts the Viola Awards to recognize and celebrate excellence in the arts in the Flagstaff area. Ten different awards are given to honor artists, organizations and individuals who make an impact in the arts in the community. Click here to see last year's results.
We also work with other arts organizations to promote the arts in Flagstaff as a core of the health of the community's economic and social vibrancy. Check out the comprehensive arts and culture events calendar online, ShowUp.com.
